My name is Gardenia C. Hung-Wittler, Lombard resident homeowner at 502 South Westmore-Meyers Road and Washington Boulevard. I have been writing to the Village of Lombard Board of Trustees and other law enforcement agencies on behalf of the Estate of Mr. Roberto Hung Juris Doctor and Surviving Family Members who have become Lombard Victims of Heinous Hate Crimes since the purchase of Du Page Real Estate Property on September 2, 1993. The summer heat wave and the drought broke out in a heavy thunderstorm with rainshowers, rafts of winds and flash lightning on Friday afternoon to cool off a sultry hot Friday the 13th in the Midwest, USA. Continued summer storms lurk in the Midwest following weather advisory for thundershowers and tornadoes roaming in the area for the rest of the week.

Hibiscus blossoms bloom in the heat of summer places thriving in tropical and sub-tropical climates. My Grandmother Gertrudis was very proud of her Hibiscus collection in Santiago de Cuba where she cultivated crimson red, golden, white, and variagated Hibiscus specimens in the cool herbal garden between her house and her daughter’s adjoining home in Cuba. Hibiscus iced tea lowers your blood pressure and cholesterol to reduce hypertension and health issues. When your systolic blood pressure ranges between 145-147-151, and your diastolic fluctuates between 80-89-90, you are experiencing hypertension symptoms which require attention to daily intake of food, exercise, and stress factors.
Nowadays one can find Hibiscus mixed with Raspberries in a cooling summer Refresher at Starbucks for a complimentary iced beverage. On a sunny hot afternoon, a Very Berry Hibiscus Refresher can cool you off during lunchtime. Just don’t sip and swallow all the raspberry seeds in one gulp with the hibiscus cooler.
Raspberries are a special treat in the early summer. In my Lombard berry patch, I cultivated a nice Raspberry Garden with several raspberry cultivars specimens from Stark Brothers Nursery. Plus I added several Strawberry rows along the garden borders for a wide Strawberry Patch of sweet and juicy strawberries. Also added red currants plants to complete our berry garden in Lombard, York Township in DuPage County, Illinois, USA.
