Source: Short Story: Roberto Hung’s Labor Day Celebration On September 2, 1993 Paid Debra Sekrecki $2,800 In Lombard Real Estate Property Taxes For Du Page County by Gardenia c. Hung on ScribeSlice

The Village of Lombard set up Roberto Hung’s Labor Day Celebration on September 2, 1993 by making him pay Debra Sekrecki’s $2,800 in Lombard real estate property taxes in 1993 for Du Page County Due On September 2nd for the Lombard Historic Brick Bungalow built in 1927 at the corner of 502 South Westmore Avenue and Washington Boulevard in District 5, near Saint Pius X Catholic Church Parish, in York Township, Du Page County, Illinois USA.

Twenty-two years ago, Mr. Roberto Hung was a Chicago, Illinois resident and U.S. citizen who lived and rented from Mrs. A.C. Nylen on the Northwest side of Chicago, in the Avondale neighborhood.  The Nylens owned Chicago Real Estate property in Illinois and also invested in Wisconsin Real Estate, as well as other U.S. holdings.

After his birthday on June 2, 1993, when Mr. Roberto Hung became 62 years old, his youngest son and wife encouraged him to buy Lombard real estate property in Lilac Town with his oldest daughter and son-in-law who would help him pay for the historic Lombard brick bungalow at 502 South Westmore Avenue and Washington Boulevard one block north from St. Pius X Church and School Parish and three blocks from the Illinois Secretary of State Motor Vehicles Facility at Eastgate Shopping Center.  The Westmore Elementary School is only one block north on School Street.  The Deicke Home for the Retarded is three blocks away from the same location.

On September 2, 1993, Twenty-two (22) years ago, my Father, Mr. Roberto Hung, decided to purchase a Lombard home at the corner of 502 South Westmore Avenue and Washington Boulevard, in York Township, District 5, owned by Debra Sekrecki with her two children, a boy named Steven Sekrecki and a daughter, as well as  a female tenant called Stella who lived on the second floor, in-law apartment, her boyfriend, and her father Adam Sekrecki.  Debra Sekrecki owed Lombard real estate taxes in Du Page County, Mr. Roberto Hung offered to pay the remaining Lombard real estate property taxes for Debra Sekrecki and her father Adam Sekrecki.  At the age of 62 years of age, my Father, Mr. Roberto Hung was persuaded by his youngest son Roberto S. Hung and his ex-wife Mrs. Gardenia Fong Ramos, to purchase a Lombard home in September 1993.

Since Debra Sekrecki and her father Adam Sekrecki owed $2,800 in Lombard real estate property taxes in 1993, Mr. Roberto Hung had to pay Du Page County for the Lombard Brick Bungalow real estate taxes in York Township on September 2, 1993.  In addition, Mr. Roberto Hung also paid in cash $89,000, half of the down payment as deposit for the Lombard real estate property at 502 South Westmore Avenue and Washington Boulevard in District 5, York Township, Du Page County, Illinois 60148-3028 USA.  On September 2, 1993, Mr. Roberto Hung, his eldest daughter, and son-in-law began payment of Lombard real estate property mortgage to own the historic brick bungalow, while the three of them were working full-time, part-time, and on weekends.

Mr. Roberto Hung, his eldest daughter, and son-in-law started looking for Lombard real estate property to purchase during the summer in Du Page County, Illinois USA.  Finally, Mr. Roberto Hung found a Lombard Brick Bungalow at 502 South Westmore Avenue and Washington Boulevard with the help of Baird & Warner Realtor Paulette Weininger and Century 21 Realtor Dino Lekousis from the Lombard Pines Shopping Center on Main Street, across from the J.W. Reedy Realty office.  The Lombard historic brick bungalow was built in 1927 and was owned by Debra Sekrecki and her father Adam Sekrecki, who lived there with two children, and a senior citizen named Stella who resided on the second floor in-law apartment.  Mr. Roberto Hung, his eldest daughter, and son-in-law purchased the Lombard historic brick bungalow and have lived in the Village of Lombard, Lilac Town, as Illinois resident homeowner in District 5, York Township, Du Page County, Illinois USA.

Three (3) years later on September 2, 1996, Mr. Roberto Hung and his eldest daughter completed full cash payment of the same Lombard real estate property at 502 S. Westmore Avenue at the Maple Park State Bank in Kane County, Illinois USA.  The eldest daughter was a witness to the full cash payment for the Lombard real estate property in Du Page County, Illinois USA.

At the turn-of-the-century, the Lombard Historic Brick Bungalow at 502 S. Westmore Avenue and Washington Blvd. was owned by the Ahrens Family as a subdivision of part of the block “A” in Robertson’s Westmore, according to the Plat recorded June 1st, 1922 by the Du Page County Recorder of Deeds Office.  Both Mary Ahrens and Emil Ahrens lived at this Lombard Historic Brick home during 1929 and 1930, according to property records.

During 1922, when the Ahrens recorded this property deed: a building ordinance was passed in the Village of Lombard , the superintendent of construction was appointed, and the Lombard village board studied zoning ordinance.  There were 2,200 acres in Du Page County, subdivided into residential lots—old farms were being subdivided.  According to the late Mrs. Steben, my elderly next-door neighbor, “the area was old farm land with horse stables, surrounded by corn fields”.

More petitions for new subdivisions were presented in 1922.  At the time, the Lombard trustees forecasted the expansion and uncontrolled growth.  There were dirt roads and muddy paths—“some sections were inundated by spring rains”.   According to Lillian Budd, Lombard historian, The Lombard News summarized, “…clamoring for water in pipes, while at the same time battling water not in pipes.”[5]  Some property owners laid water mains at their own expense, then asked permission to connect with the village water system.  The Village of Lombard planned street paving afterwards in 1922.

During March 19, 1927, the Village of Lombard issued new building permits.  By June 1927, eight (8) more building permits were issued.  At the time, property values in Lombard increased—“one vacant lot more than tripled in value, within one year”.[6]

Two centuries later, on September 2nd, 1993, Mr. Roberto Hung, Sr. with his daughter and son-in-law purchased the Lombard Historic Brick Bungalow from Debra Y. Sekrecki, with an initial down payment of $2,000, as earnest money paid by personal check, added to the total cash payment of $88,000 at a fixed interest rate not to exceed 8.00% per year, amortized over a period of fifteen (15) years.  At the time, Debra Y. Sekrecki had two (2) children, a boy and a girl, lived with Stella, the tenant upstairs, and father Adam Sekrecki.

Three months before, on July 11, 1993, Mr. Roberto Hung signed a Standard Residential Sales Contract from the Du Page Association of Realtors in agreement to purchase the Lombard real estate property at 502 S. Westmore Avenue in Lombard, Illinois  60148-3028 , owned by seller Debra Y. Sekrecki.  The original closing date was scheduled on September 11, 1993.  However, Roberto Hung was called by telephone to appear sooner on September 2nd, 1993, at 3:30 p.m., at the law office of Alan Dakoff, Telephone:  708-966-0488, located at 9291 North Maryland, in Niles, Illinois  60714 , U.S.A.

Century 21, Action Real Estate provided a Buyer Service Pledge presented by Steve Block, Telephone:  630-627-5500, and Dino, the real estate agent with Roberto Hung, who signed in agreement.  Afterwards, Roberto Hung received a copy of Rider 412, Buyer’s Inspection which he signed as buyer with Debra Sekrecki, as seller.

In 1993, Century 21, Action Real Estate described in a listing the Highlights of the Lombard Historic Brick Bungalow at the corner of Westmore Avenue and Washington Blvd., owned by Debra Y. Sekrecki with tenant Stella.  At the time, the Du Page County Real Estate Taxes were only $2,744 for the brick house.  After Roberto Hung purchased the same Lombard Brick House, the Lombard property taxes doubled for more than $4,000, without providing the senior citizens Homestead Exemption.

This Lombard Brick Home is located  near Westmore Elementary School and St. Pius X Church School, Jackson Middle School , and Willowbrook High School .

George Hornbeck’s Parcel No. 06-09-315038 is a subdivision, spacious 4-bedroom brick home with a second floor in-law or potential income arrangement.  There are nine (9) room available with hardwood floors.  Full finished basement.  Front and rear enclosed porches for added living space.  Fully fenced yard with a gas grill.   There is a 2-car garage.  Public transportation is available.  This Lombard home is close to school and shopping, near the Eastgate Center and State of Illinois facilities for the Secretary of State Vehicle Licenses Center and the Illinois Employment and Training Center (I.E.T.C.).

Action Real Estate for Century 21 was serving Du Page and Cook counties at the Lombard Pines Shopping Center, 1125-J South Main Street, Lombard, Illinois  60148, in care of realtor Dino.

On September 2nd, 1996, Mr. Roberto Hung completed full cash payment of the Lombard Brick Home at Maple Park State Bank, witnessed by his daughter, Gardenia C. Hung, and the bank manager.  Mr. Roberto Hung and his eldest daughter, married to Nathan S. Wittler, improved this Lombard Brick house by adding oak cabinets, an exterior halogen flood night light, (2) automatic garage door openers, changed all door locks, added gardening landscaping, apple trees orchard, and perennial flowers, and exotic plant species.

Labor Day on the first day of September 1, 2014 reminds me how I have worked in Du Page County and in the Village of Lombard before September 2, 1993, when I was employed by Carmen Alonso Kenny & Associates as a Certified Legal Interpreter and Translator for Du Page County Arbitration Center for Workers’ Compensation, Traffic Court at 421 North County Farm Road and the 18th Judicial Circuit Court at 505 North County Farm Road in the City of Wheaton. I also worked at the old courthouse in Geneva, and the new courthouse in St. Charles for the Kane County Judicial Center, including Batavia. Plus, I was assigned interpreting and translation in Elgin and Joliet in Will County; as well as court-appointed legal interpreting in Waukegan, Lake County, and in Woodstock, McHenry County, and beyond to LaSalle County, and DeKalb, in Illinois. For more than twenty (20) years, I have been a commissioned Illinois Notary Public for Cook County first, then for Du Page County by the Illinois Secretary of State and the County Clerk’s Office.
While reading the Chicago Tribune, I found out that Interlate Systems Inc. and Pan Blanco in Elgin, Aurora, and Batavia, owned by Brad White, a former College of Du Page employee who was hiring a Certified Interpreter and Translator in English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese. I was interviewed and hired as a Certified Legal Interpreter and Translator by Jacquie Guiter and Rene Hofsteder at the Interlate Systems Inc. office which was located in Elgin Downtown, along Route 30, not far from the Elgin Police Station.
Before and after I got married to Nathan Scott Wittler Patriquin, I was working full-time, free-lance, and part-time on different jobs, occupations, and business sectors in the City of Chicago, Cook County, and outlaying suburbs of Du Page County, Kane County, Lake County, Will County, McHenry County, LaSalle County, DeKalb, and at my home business office.
In addition, I was working for Berlitz Schools at 2 North LaSalle Street in the City of Chicago with Milanka who was the Berlitz Method Trainer, Josepha and June, the receptionist. Then, I was assigned by Berlitz to teach for Beth, the Director, upon assignments from Sally at the Water Tower Place across from the John Hancock Center. Afterwards, Beth moved the Berlitz office to Hinsdale and later opened another Berlitz school in Oak Brook, Du Page County, Illinois USA. Beth at Berlitz assigned me to teach Berlitz Junior at the Butler Middle School on York Road, across from the Oak Brook Country Club and also at Brook Forest Elementary School, along 31st Street in Du Page County, Illinois USA.
After my Father, Mr. Roberto Hung purchased the Lombard Historic Brick Bungalow at 502 South Westmore-Meyers Road and Washington Boulevard, I was driving to and from work upon assignment for Certified Legal Interpreting and Translation, Teaching, Cross-Cultural Training, Consulting Language Social Media jobs for clients, Marketing Localization for AIM Translations managed by Karen in Bloomingdale, and other language work for Business Access Translation managed by Rosa Ridderbusch in Zurich, Illinois.
While I was working all day during mornings, afternoon, and evenings, Nathan Scott Wittler Patriquin and my Father, Mr. Roberto Hung, allowed intruders to roam, ransack, steal, and scatter business documents, a community certificate from the Chinese American Service League, personal belongings, an 18 Karat Gold Bracelet which has been heirloom jewelry that my Grandmother and family had given to me, fashion clothing, intimate apparel, and miscellaneous business and teaching resources which have been stolen and removed from my personal use by the Lombard Police Department and the Illinois Court Houses in Du Page County, Cook County, and other places in the Chicagoland area. I have even lost my Minolta Camera Flash, JVC Digital Film Cassettes, and other teaching media from my work environment after I moved to the Village of Lombard on September 2, 1993.
I have also lost two (2) Tennis Rackets and Tennis Balls, a Tachikara Volleyball, Golfsmith Putting Golf Club, Golf Shoes, Golf Balls, and many other valuables which have been stolen from my Lombard home, allowed by the Lombard Police Department in District 5, York Township, Du Page County, Illinois USA.
In 1992, my Mother Mrs. Gardenia Fong Ramos and my youngest brother Robert S. Hung with his boyfriend Paul Rathe purchased a Lombard home with homeowners’ credit and a cash down deposit of $10,000 given by my Father Mr. Roberto Hung from his IRA retirement funds. Then, they moved to the Lilac Town with a Pomeranian dog near Sunset Knolls Park District on Finley Road, Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Elizabeth Street, and Lilacia Park near Main Street in the Village of Lombard, Du Page County, Illinois USA. Randy Stob is the Lombard realtor who sold my brother Robert the real estate property in Du Page County and deliberately set out to bring the rest of the family of Mr. Roberto Hung Juris Doctor, his Daughter, and Husband to buy a Lombard home in Du Page County, Illinois.
When Paul Rathe, a young urban gay who lived on Roscoe Street near Halsted Street, Boys Town and Lakeview in Chicago, convinced my youngest brother and mother to buy a Lombard home and move to the western suburbs in Du Page County during 1992, he did not tell them that buying Lombard real estate would cause chronic health and medical problems for them, long-term disease, psychiatric problems, violence against women, assault, physical abuse, biomedical and bio-sexual transgendered studies, hospitalizations, traumatic brain injuries, head concussions, tragedy, family death, and abuse of human rights in housing under the law in York Township, Illinois, USA.
Paul Rathe introduced my brother and mother to Baird & Warner realtor Paulette Weininger who found a Lombard home for them at 342 West Harrison Street near Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Elizabeth Street, Finley Road and Main Street close to Walgreens, near the Du Page County Crisis Unit, a Medical Group Practice located at 440 South Finley Road and Washington Blvd. in the Village of Lombard, Illinois 60148 USA. Linda Schuster who lived in Westmont was the girlfriend of Paul Rathe who referred my brother and mother to buy a house in Village of Lombard, also known as Lilac Town for the annual Lilac Parade celebration near Main Street in Spring time.
Randy Stob, the Lombard realtor who sold them the real estate property at 342 West Harrison Street near Elizabeth Street and Finley Road, began to encourage my brother Robert S. Hung and my Mother to bring other people in the family, to include her Daughter with her father and husband to buy Lombard real estate property in Du Page County, Illinois USA.
Since my Mother and Brother purchased Lombard real estate property from the same Lombard realtor, I have been kidnapped four (4) times during the course of employment and from my Lombard home in District 5, York Township, Du Page County, upon return from working by friends of the Lombard realtor and his associates in the Du Page Realtors Association in Illinois USA.
I had already worked as a Certified Legal Interpreter and Translator in Wheaton, Geneva, Oak Brook in Du Page County, as well as St. Charles, Batavia, Elgin, Aurora in Kane County, and DeKalb, Illinois.
During June 1993, Mr. Roberto Hung started looking to purchase real estate property for a home in Du Page County near my brother and mother in Lombard, Illinois. After my Father, myself, and my husband purchased a historic Lombard Brick Bungalow at 502 South Westmore Avenue and Washington Boulevard, near Saint Pius X Catholic Church, we began to invite and entertain family and friends at our Lombard home in District 5, Du Page County, Illinois USA. During April 1994 and Lilac Time, the family of Mr. Roberto Hung Juris Doctor entertained and hosted Nathan S. Wittler’s retired Christian missionary parents, Reverend Melvin A. Wittler and Mrs. Nancy Wittler Patriquin who were travelling in the Chicago area and the United States on furlough from Istanbul, Turkey, in the Middle East.
In addition, my Mother’s youngest sister, Mrs. Xiomara Fong Ramos de Zayas from Santiago de Cuba, was invited to visit the Village of Lombard for six (6) months to stay with her oldest sister whom she had not seen in more than twenty (20) years—our family had left Cuba during the Catholic Freedom Flights and arrived in Miami, Florida on July 19, 1971. My parents, Mr. Roberto Hung and Mother Mrs. Gardenia Fong Ramos, chose to relocate to Chicago, Illinois sponsored by Catholic Charities.
After my Mother’s sister, Aunt Xiomara Fong Ramos de Zayas, visited the Village of Lombard in 1994, I was kidnapped after I completed an interpreting assignment for Interlate Systems Inc. in Aurora, Kane County, Illinois USA. I was working as a Certified Legal Interpreter and Translator, also as commissioned Illinois Notary Public for more than twenty (20) years, working with Action Translation Bureau managed by Joseph Raudonis in Palos Heights, Carmen Kenny & Associates in Arlington Heights, Interlate Systems Inc. in Elgin and Batavia, Kane County, and other translation agencies affiliated to the Chicago Area Translators Association (CHICATA) and the American Translators Association (ATA) under the aegis of the Federation of International Translators (FIT).
My name is Gardenia C. Hung, estranged spouse of Nathan Scott Wittler Patriquin, DOB December 27, 1958, Age 55 years old, eldest daughter of the late Mr. Roberto Hung Juris Doctor and his surviving widow Mrs. Gardenia Fong Ramos, DOB February 2, 1938, a disabled, retired senior citizen, 76 years of age, who was transferred from Elmhurst Memorial Hospital during the year 2006 to the Chicagoland area unbeknown to me, her first daughter who is a Lombard resident homeowner and was living at 502 South Westmore Avenue and Washington Boulevard in District 5, York Township, Du Page County, Illinois 60148-3028 USA.
Eight (8) years have passed since I last saw my Mother, Mrs. Gardenia Fong Ramos, who is now a disabled senior citizen living on the north side of Chicago, 48th Democratic Ward, in the Edgewater neighborhood, near Loyola University, Lake Shore Campus by Lake Michigan, Illinois USA.
I am a Lombard resident homeowner and Catholic parishioner near St. Pius X Catholic Church, who was helping my Mother Mrs. Gardenia Fong Ramos, widow of the late Mr. Roberto Hung Juris Doctor, after her forced hospitalization to the Psychiatric Ward in the care of Dr. McKenna and Social Worker Tilary at Illinois Masonic Medical Center by Jim Wilbrot, Sally, Timothy Tromasina, James and his friends in Oak Park, who committed her with the Chicago Police Department on Addison Street near Halsted Street , In the Lakeview and Boys’ Town neighborhoods during 2005.
I have not seen My Mother since January 12, 2006 when I found her injured at our Lombard Brick Bungalow, 502 South Westmore-Meyers Road and Washington Boulevard, across Mrs. Shimek’s green home and Robyn’s brick brownstone.
Eight (8) years have passed since the Du Page County Clerk Gary King told me that my Mother was dead, but I did not believe him when I replied that my Mother was not dead. Du Page County and Cook County Social Workers and other medical facilities in Illinois have not contacted me as my Mother’s daughter and next-of-kin family member, even when my Mother was staying with me as a Lombard resident during November and December 2005, and January 2006.

During the decade of the 1950’s, the Turkish Sultan, the Prince, and his delegation visited the University of Oriente in Santiago de Cuba, Cuba while my Father was appointed Dean of the College of Law, Business, and Economics involved in Geological Prospecting for Mining Research. At the age of two years old, I was fortunate to be included in all of my Father’s professional, civics, academic, social events, and religious activities with my Mother and family at the University of Oriente in Santiago de Cuba. During 1959, 1960, and 1961, my parents introduced me as the first daughter formally to international diplomats, dignitaries, delegates, special guests, and visitors who met them at the University of Oriente and the University of La Habana in Cuba.
While the Turkish Sultan and the Prince’s delegation visited the eastern region of Cuba called Oriente, my Father was assigned to welcome and host the visiting guests and delegations from the United Nations, Turkey, Germany, France, Bulgaria, Europe, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Mexico, Spain, Brazil, Latin America, Asia, the United States, and other countries welcomed by Cuba. Naturally, I began to meet international visitors speaking in Spanish, English, English, French, German, Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, Scandinavian, and other languages–I became motivated and encouraged to learn how to speak other languages in addition to Spanish in Cuba.
Later on, I received a copy of the book titled, One Thousand and One Night or the Arabian Nights in Spanish for me to read about magic flying Turkish carpets and the Middle East open market in Istanbul, Turkey. Then, one night I dreamt that I was visiting the Open Market in Istanbul, Turkey. The next day, I woke up wondering how I was dreaming about travels in such faraway lands.
Several years later, in 1986, my dream became true when I met Nathan Scott Wittler, the first son of the Anglican missionary Reverend Melvin A. Wittler and Mrs. Nancy Wittler Patriquin, who were assigned to live in Istanbul, Turkey by the World Council of Churches, and share U.S. residence in West Dummerston, Brattleboro, in the State of Vermont, New England, USA. Former U.S. Navy PC-3 Nathan S. Wittler invited me to travel to Istanbul with him and meet his parents and siblings, Brian, Kent, and Heather Wittler. So, I did visit the Sultan’s Palace Topkapi, also known as the Blue Mosque in Istanbul, Turkey.
Amazingly, my childhood dream came true when the Wittlers invited me to the Turkish Open Market in 1986.

While I was a professional member of the Chicago Area Translators Association and Interpreters’ Work Group, Janice Becker who worked with German-American Business Translations and other language interpreting colleagues like Kathleen Orozco (Orosco), Moira Pujols-Quall, Diana, and myself included, gathered to discuss Interpreters’ Issues in the State of Illinois in order to standardize Interpreting in IllinoisKathleen Orozco (Orosco) was married to John Orozco (Orosco) with a young daughter where they lived in Oak Park, Illinois USA.  Kathleen Orozco (Orosco) was a certified legal court interpreter who worked with Kevin Devaney, a federal court interpreter who was responsible for the Illinois Court Interpreters’ Network while he also worked with all the legal court interpreters in Cook County and in the State of Illinois, for the National Association of Judiciary Interpreters and Translators (NAJIT) in the USA.  The CHICATA Interpreters’ Work Group where I volunteered as the Secretary, was a collaborative Interpreters’ Work Group formed to standardize, implement, and enforce a Mandate For Interpreting in the State of Illinois, USA.  Kathleen Orozco (Orosco) referred me to Kevin Devaney who was a Federal Interpreter and Translator for Interpreting and Translation Assignments in Illinois.  During 1994, I was Interpreting and Translating for Interlate Systems, Inc. with Renee Hodstaetter, Jacquier Guiter, and Maria Contreras in Elgin, Aurora, Batavia, Geneva, St. Charles, Kane County, Illinois; also for Burg Translations with John, Agatha, and Ludovico in Chicago, and was referred to Palencia Language Services in Bolingbrook, Illinois USA.

I had been working as a Certified Legal Court Interpreter and Translator since 1981 for Trans-Lingual, Inc., Action Translation, Carmen Kenny & Associates, Linguistic Systems, Inc., Interlate Systems, Inc., Arroyave Academy of Languages at the State of Illinois Industrial Commission, U.S. Federal Court House at the Dirksen Building, City of Chicago Traffic Court, Cook County, Du Page County, Lake County, Will County, McHenry County, Elgin Traffic Court, Aurora Traffic Court, Geneva Traffic Cour, and St. Charles Judicial Center in Kane County, LaSalle County, Grundy County, and DeKalb.

In addition, I had been working with Alicia Marshall and Yrma Villareal at the TIP Lab hosted by DePaul University for Translation, Consecutive and Simultaneous Legal Court Interpreting  often presented by Dr. Holly Mikkelson, Ph.D. from the Monterey University and ACEBO Interpreting and Translation Publisher in California, USA.  Furthermore, I was also a professional member of the American Translations Association and attended the Annual Conferences where I registered and enrolled in Consecutive and Interpreting Seminars, Workshops, and Courses for Certification Credit by the American Translators Association in Virginia, USA.  Plus, during 1995, I attended the University of Montréal Legal Court Interpreting Seminar for Simultaneous and Consecutive Judiciary Interpreters presented by Dr. Holly Mikkelson, Ph.D. in Montréal, Canada, sponsored by the Federation of International Translators (FIT) and A Critical Link (Un Maillon Essentiel) French-Canadian Association organized by Diane Abrahms.  Moreover, I became involved with the National Judiciary Interpreters and Translators Association (NAJIT), while I was actively working as a Certified Court Interpreter and Translator for the State of Illinois Judiciary in the United States of America.

Greetings during August 30th in the Summer of 2012!   My name is Gardenia C. Hung (Wittler), a Lombard resident homeowner at 502 South Westmore-Meyers Road who has become an Illinois Victim of Heinous Hate Crimes after I was involved with professional certified legal interpreting and translation with the Chicago Area Translators Association (CHICATA), the American Translators Association (ATANET) and the Federation of Interpreters and Translators (FIT-IFT).  I am a Victim of Violence Against Women, Assault, and Kidnappings, Abuse of Human Rights in Housing, Abuse of Civil Rights as a former professional member of the American Translators Association petitioning for Victims Compensation and Restitution with justice, equity, and fairness on my behalf as a Victim of Heinous Hate Crimes, Violence Against Women, and Abuse of Human Rights in Housing during the course of employment by the American Translation and Interpreting Agencies which are listed below.  Please reply to this written request for Victims Compensation and Restitution as a Lombard resident homeowner and taxpayer at Post Office Box 1274, Lombard, Illinois 60148-8274 USA in care of Gardenia C. Hung-Wittler who is a Victim of Heinous Hate Crimes, Violence Against Women, and Abuse of Human Rights in Housing Under The Law, Home Invasions, Kidnappings, Physical Injury, Torture, Auto Accidents, Forced Hospitalizations, etc.  The Village of Lombard Manager David Hulseberg has caused damages, losses, theft, and destruction of personal, family, and business real property for me, Gardenia C. Hung-Wittler, a Lombard resident homeowner and sole proprietor of the small business Communications, Languages & Culture, Inc., formerly at 502 South Westmore-Meyers Road and Washington Boulevard, Post Office Box 1274, in Lombard, District 5, York Township, Du Page County, Illinois 60148-8274, United States of America. I have been denied Civil Rights and Civil Procedure by the Lombard Police and Fire Department, as well at the Village of Lombard Town Hall at 255 East Wilson Avenue in Lombard, Illinois 60148 USA.

While I lived as Lombard resident homeowner, taxpayer, and U.S. citizen, I began to interpret and translate for Trans-lingual, Inc. downtown Chicago; then I was hired by Action Translation Bureau owned by Joseph Raudonis in Palos Heights to interpret from English into Spanish and vice versa at the Illinois Industrial Commission where I met Carmen Kenny & Associates who networked interpreters for Illinois Workman’s Compensation hearings, arbitrations, and legal depositions, including medical interpreting and translations for Gloria Domenech & Associates, Burg Translations, Palencia Language Services.  I was working as an independent freelance interpreter and translator when I was hired by Linguist Systems Inc. managed by Caroline Weaver De Philips in Cambridge and Boston, Massachusetts.  While browsing the local newspapers, I found Interlate Systems Inc. looking for a legal intepreter and translator to work for Traffic Court in the City of Elgin, Aurora, St. Charles at the Kane County Judicial Center, Batavia, Wheaton at the DuPage County Judicial Center, Lake County, Will County, McHenry County, Grundy, LaSalle, DeKalb, and in the Chicagoland area.  Over thirty years, I have worked with many other interpreting and translation agencies in the Chicagoland area as a professional certified member of the Chicago Area Translators Association, the American Translators Association, and the Federation of International Translators.  The Translators and Interpreters Lab (TIP) was managed by Alicia Marshall and Yrma Villareal who also invited Dr. Holly Mikkelson, Ph.D. from Monterey Institute of Languages to train and certify interpreters and translators for CHICATA in Illinois USA.

During 1994, I was working as a Certified Interpreter and Translator for Interlate Systems Inc. and Burg Translations, and Palencia Language Services assigned to Traffic Court in the City of Elgin, Aurora, Batavia, St. Charles, Geneva, Kane County Judicial Center, Addison, Glendale Heights,Wheaton in DuPage County, Illinois.  I was a professional member of the Chicago Area Translators and Interpreters Association (CHICATA), American Translators Association (ATA), and the Federation of International Translators (FIT-IFT).  During the course of employment as a Certified Interpreter and Translator, I was kidnapped from a parking lot, forced into a car, abused, physically injured, and hospitalized without my name, as an Alias Unknown Patient after my wallet with identification was stolen and money was taken as well, along with household keys to my Lombard home at 502 S. Westmore-Meyers Road and Washington Boulevard, in District 5, York Township, DuPage County, Illinois 60148-3028 USA.  I was unconscious after a head concussion and a blunt hit to the head which caused me to pass out and could not return to my Lombard home in DuPage County, Illinois USA.

I have been kidnapped from a parking lot by a Black Man, posing as a Federal Agent in Aurora, Illinois after a legal interpreting assignment for the National Labor Relations Board; then I was physically injured as a legal court interpreter in Aurora while working for Interlate Systems, Inc. based in Elgin, Aurora, and Batavia in Kane County, Illinois.  I have been a Victim of Heinous Hate Crimes and Violence, Head Concussions, Physical Injury, Torture, during the kidnapping in Aurora, Illinois USA.  Since my Wallet and Purse were removed, the Aurora Police filed the report under Alias Unknown Victim of Crimes in Illinois USA.

In addition, I have been kidnapped as a Lombard resident homeowner sleeping in the Master Bedroom after Midnight at 502 South Westmore-Meyers Road and Washington Boulevard, in District 5, York Township,  Du Page County, Illinois.  I have victimized in the Village of Lombard while Lombard Police and Fire Department have not reported personal injuries filed under Alias Unknown Victim of Crime, since the criminals took my personal wallet with Illinois resident identifications and Driver’s License and stole cash currency in my purse.

For the last thirty (30) years since 1982, I have worked for American Translation and Interpreting Agencies in the Chicagoland area as an Employee Certified Interpreter and Translator where I have been paid hourly rates starting at a minimum of  $7.00 – $10.00 to $25.00 for a 2-Hour Assignment without any Employee Benefits for Medical Healthcare, Holidays, Vacation, or Retirement Pension and a maximum ranging from $50.00 to $100.00 without any other employee benefits.  Now in 2012, my U.S. Social Security income is less than other employees in the Chicagoland area.  I am missing income salary after I have worked for American Translation and Interpreting Agencies in Illinois:

Trans-Lingual, Inc. where Maureen Mueller was the Receptionist/Secretary at 8 South Michigan Avenue, Chicago, Illinois USA

Action Translation Bureau managed and owned by Joseph “Joe” Raudonis in Palos Heights, IL

Carmen Kenny & Associates, in Arlington Heights, Illinois USA

Gloria Domenech & Associates in Hyde Park, Illinois USA

Linguistic Systems, Inc. managed by Caroline Weaver De Philips and John Martin President in Cambridge and Boston, Massachusetts, USA

Interlate Systems Inc./Pan Blanco owned by Brad White, managed by Renee Hodstaetter, Jacquie Guiter, and Maria Contreras in the City of Elgin, Aurora, Batavia, Illinois USA.  After kidnapping me in Aurora, Illinois following a legal court interpreting assignment for Interlate Systems Inc. also known then as Pan Blanco in Elgin, a Lombard Policeman offered to drive me home my Lombard home and broke my right big toe, knocking me out, and injuring me at my Lombard home, which caused me to have a traumatic concussion, resulting in a mild stroke, and loss of consciousness so he could remove me from my home and sequestered me to an unknown DuPage Hospital where my family could not find me. Once again, I became a Victim of Crime by the Lombard Police Department. Afterwards, the Lombard Police continued to trespass and access my Lombard home without authorization by passing out the Hung Family’s household spare keys to intruders without the homeowners’ consent and approval.

I have been victimized for the last twenty-one (21) years as an Illinois Victim of Heinous Hate Crimes seeking justice, fairness, and compensation for criminal damages and losses, personal injury from a broken pigeon right toe stumped by a Lombard Policeman, kidnappings, physical abuse, sexual assault at home and by force in Du Page County, torture, harassment, theft, burglary, robbery, stealing by local thieves allowed by the Lombard Police and Fire Department and persecution, to include several automobile accidents as an individual and citizen of the United States of America in the Village of Lombard, York Township, Du Page County, Illinois.

My Father’s God-Daughter Olivia was born on his birthday in June, so his eldest brother and sister-in-law Silvia wanted him to be the Godfather for the christening and baptism of his niece Olivia in 1948 while the family was living in Santiago de Cuba, Oriente, Cuba. My Father always considered his Goddaughter with special favors, gifts, and treated her as a daughter, including Olivia in family celebrations, birthdays, anniversaries, even for his wedding Olivia was a flower girl in the bridal party, special events, holidays, vacations, etc.

When my Father, Roberto Hung visited Miami, Hialeah, and South Florida, he always made a telephone call to visit his Mother and family there, including his eldest brother, Miguel, and his family, his niece Olivia and family, nephew Miguel and his wife Pamela, and children Brittany and Miguel Hung, his nephew Santiago and the youngest one Ray Hung Simons. Mr. Roberto Hung was always generous, kind, and giving to his eldest brother and sister-in-law Silvia Hung Simons, as well as to his niece Olivia who was his goddaughter and all his nephews, Miguel, Santiago, and Ray Hung Simons.

The irony is that none of his eldest brother’s family nor his sister-in-law Silvia Hung Simons or his niece Olivia remembered to attend Roberto Hung’s funeral at St. Pius X Catholic Church nor send any sympathy card or monetary funeral gift when my Father died by medical throttling caused by the Respiratory Therapist Ben Aguilar in the care of Dr. Raied Abdullah M.D. and Dr. Paul Grodzin M.D. among other physicians. His Goddaughter Olivia Hung Simons married Wayne Leaver and did not even invite Roberto Hung or his wife Gardenia and family to their wedding, nor to their divorce celebration years afterwards.

After Roberto Hung visited his family in Florida and New York, he became a Lombard Resident Victim of Heinous Hate Crimes while he worked for the Pampered Chef in Addison, Dominick’s Food Stores in Oakbrook Terrace, Felt-Products in Skokie, and died by medical murder at Vencor Northlake Hospital in Cook County, Illinois USA.

His Goddaughter Olivia and his nephews have not tried to contact Roberto Hung’s eldest daughter who is the Executor Trustee for the Estate of Roberto Hung and Surviving Family by U.S. Mail at Post Office Box 1274, Lombard Illinois 60148-8274 USA nor by telephone or even Email in 2012, for the 21st Century.
