Much more than nutrition, home cooking celebrates culture, history, family and community. I volunteered for the Sunday Brunch With Seniors managed by Christina Bello at the Broadway Armory Park Community Kitchen.

Day 27 of 30 Days of Doing was so splendid it was hard to pick a photo! Many of the gardens had volunteer groups gleaning fresh herbs and produce for our food and nutrition partners! We completely overloaded our beloved “Care for Real” – but we think they liked it 🙂 And our second “Community Gardens Take Action Against Hunger” symposium was great. Thanks to all who attended! I volunteered for the Vedgwater Peterson Community Garden Gleaning with Ashley, Sarah, and others…
