When Mirtha Quintana and Christopher Toomey decided to get married, I was already living in the Village of Lombard at 502 South Westmore-Meyers Road and Washington Boulevard in District 5, York Township, Du Page County, Illinois USA. I received the invitation by mail and talked to my Father, Mr. Roberto Hung Juris Doctor and my spouse Nathan S. Wittler who attended the wedding church ceremony at the Lakeview Presbyterian Church in Chicago’s North Lakeview neighborhood.

After Mirtha Quintana started working as a teacher in the Chicago Public Schools, she met her future husband Christopher Toomey after school, upon recommendation from one of her Irish school co-workers and colleague. Christopher Toomey is Irish-American military veteran from St. Louis Missouri, who served in the U.S. Marine Corps, while he was stationed in Greece and Israel. Mirtha and Christopher Toomey were happy to be getting married and arranged the church wedding ceremony at the Lakeview Presbyterian Church, near Mirtha and her Mother Josefa Quintana’s former apartment on Fremont Street near Halsted and Broadway Avenue on the Northside of Chicago. Mirtha and her Mother Josefa moved away to the Northwest side and purchased a Chicago home on Richmond Street, between Grace and Sacramento Avenue—near where I used to live on Belle Plaine Avenue, Sacramento and Irving Park Road.

One day after their engagement, Mirtha and Christopher Toomey invited me to meet the best man at the wedding, his male friend was a registered medical nurse who worked in a hospital and who had known Christopher for many years as his best friend. Mirtha and her Mother Josefa, Christopher Toomey and his best friend had a pre-wedding party at home in Chicago. I was introduced to Christopher Toomey and his best male friend who was a male nurse at a hospital for the first time before the wedding date. I have only met Christopher Toomey’s friend twice, once before the wedding, and after the wedding, while Mirtha and Christopher were newlyweds and lived at their Chicago home.
